Thirteen hours, Berkeley to Seattle. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. New apartment, new job, new social circle. I’ll be moving back in with my college roommate and embarking on a new career. I’ll stay in touch with San Francisco friends, but right now, it’s time to get my career handled. I’m going into business for myself. Beyond that, details are fuzzy.

I think what you’re doing is cool. I do believe that we need to take risks in order to truly be happy. I’m contemplating a similarly risky career/lifestyle change (thinking about Seattle, in fact). I’ll be interested to know how everything works out for you. Keep us updated.
