Last day in Munich

I’m off to the Neuschwanstein castle. Munich’s been fun… ate lots of beige colored food, spoke at the conference after all, and got lost over and over and over again. More details soon, but in the meantime I’m off to a fairy-tale castle and then to Madrid…

I slept with a hot water bottle for the first time last night. I read about them in Enid Blyton stories growing up, but somehow never experienced the joy of falling asleep next to a tiny rubber heat source. Delightful!

My passport was glanced at briefly when I checked in in Seattle and when I transferred planes in Paris, but I didn’t go through immigration or customs or anything in Munich. Just walked through the open, unmanned turnstile. Hope this doesn’t create a problem when I try to leave…

Happy Halloween! I’m in Munich!

I don’t know yet if the Germans celebrate Halloween. But you know, I think I’m going to have fun here either way.

Sign #17 that life is good.

You know you’ve made it when you go grocery shopping at noon in your pajamas…
